When it comes to carbon MTB wheels, there is such a thing as too much stiffness. That’s why the Crossmax Carbon XL R rim was designed with a low-profile shape and a special UD²-carbon layup that creates just enough vertical compliance to deliver smooth riding qualities without compromising the ability to climb and corner with efficiency and precision. The rims have an asymmetrical shape and are 30mm wide internally to optimize the performance of any modern trail tire.

The spokes provide the sweet spot between lateral stiffness and vertical compliance. Infinity hubs feature a stiffer and lighter construction with the highly reliable Instant Drive 360 system for quick engagement and optimal power transfer.
