In France, there’s a phrase for cold winds that blow from the North: Nordet. This is also the name of Mavics warmest winter riding jacket. Perfect for late fall, winter or early spring, it’s made for hardcore riders who aren’t afraid to keep training through the winter. Designed to shield the rider completely from cold wind, it keeps you warm in frigid temperatures while preventing overheating on climbs and hard efforts. The Nordet Jacket has an Athletic Fit that’s longer and roomier for optimal freedom of movement and is made with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® technology, which features a three-layer laminated knit that blocks wind and cold without compromising breathability. It’s the same technology used in the Mistral collection, but with a thicker fabric and cozy fleece inside. Details include a microfleece lining on the collar, special cuff construction that fits snug on the wrists, a silicone elastic wrapping around the waist to keep the wind and cold sealed out, and reflective highlights to improve visibility in low-light conditions.
